How To Get Around In Las Vegas Without A Car Exploring Sin City On Foot

Las Vegas is a city filled with tourist attractions, casinos, malls, and other places worth to be visited too. There are arcades and other entertainment places at every corner making these the top reasons why Las Vegas is very populated, and sometimes public transportation cannot accommodate all the passengers. This is the reason people opt to rent a car or have their own. However, if you do not have enough to buy or rent one, here is a solution on how to get around in Las Vegas without a car.

Means and ways to explore Las Vegas without a car

Do not have a car but you want to Explore Las Vegas? Here are the available options how to get around in Las Vegas without a car:

  • Uber
This mode of transportation that uses an app to allow passengers to hail a ride and drivers to charge and be paid. Not only do they provide ride-hailing services, but they also provide food delivery, package delivery, couriers, and freight transportation. If you do not have a car, Uber is one of the most popular modes of transportation.
  • Monorail
A monorail is a rail-based transportation system that relies on a single rail as its sole support and guideway. The term is also used to describe the system’s beam or the vehicles that travel on such a beam or track. Many monorail systems operate on elevated tracks through densely populated areas.
  • Walk around
Walking is the most efficient and less expensive mode of transportation. It is recommended when traveling with less luggage and knowing all of the locations. The only disadvantage of walking is that it is much slower than other modes of transportation.
  • Free shuttles
A free shuttle service runs regularly. Although it is free, it has a fixed route and time. Using a free shuttle in a hurry is not a good idea, but it is a less expensive mode of transportation.
  • Commute
Commuting means taking the same route from one location to another. Commuting can be done using a variety of modes of transportation, such as a taxi, an uber, or a friend’s car. For those who are working, commuting is very common.
  • Taxi
It is a car that is licensed to transport passengers for a fee and is usually equipped with a taximeter. A taxi transports passengers to and from their desired location. The fare is usually determined by the distance between you and your destination.

Advantages and disadvantages of going to Las Vegas without a car

Personalize your trip first to determine if a car is needed or not. Below are the advantages and disadvantages of touring Las Vegas without a car.

>> Get around the city with a pair of walking sandals.

Advantages:

  • You can save on parking fees. Having a car in the city requires you to park at Parking Garages. You may not notice it, but the parking fees still add up to your overall expenses.
  • You can maximize your time. Looking for parking lots and parking itself requires time. You do not have to walk going to and back to your car every time you need to go to places. You can walk and appreciate downtown more.

Disadvantages:

  • It will take time because you have to commute. Las Vegas is too crowded that you have to take long lines to ride public transportation. Sometimes it took your time longer.
  • It will require you to bring all your things. Unlike if you have a car, you can just leave behind the things that you do not need. You need to carry all your bags throughout your tour. Unless you will leave it at a baggage counter.
  • It will cost you a lot for fares. Aside from taking your time, fares at commuting are also a disadvantage. You may think that they are only insignificant amounts but if you add them together it costs a lot.

Places worth visiting around Las Vegas

In connection with your concern about how to get around in Las Vegas without a car, since you have several options presented above, you can now choose from these places where to roam around.

  1. Discovery Children’s Museum
This three-story children’s museum, formerly known as Lied Discovery Children’s Museum, is located adjacent to The Smith Center in Downtown Las Vegas. The Discovery Children’s Museum spans 58,000 square feet. DISCOVERY Children’s Museum’s mission is to provide a vibrant and engaging experience through exhibits and programs.
  1. Ethel M Chocolates
All of Ethel M Chocolates’ chocolate treats are made with carefully sourced ingredients and no artificial preservatives. It is also one of the best chocolate manufacturing facilities in Las Vegas. They sell milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and brittle with various fillings such as caramel, satin creme or buttercream, liqueurs, nuts, truffles, and more.
  1. Clark County Wetlands Park
This Park runs from the various water treatment plants near the natural beginning of the Las Vegas Wash to where the wash flows under Lake Las Vegas and later into Lake Mead on the east side of the Las Vegas valley. By constructing a constructed wetland, one of the park’s goals is to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater and stormwater runoff leaving the drainage basin area.
  1. Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium
Its main tank has a capacity of 1,300,000 US gallons, making it one of the largest in North America. The 95,000-square-foot facility houses a variety of sharks, rays, fish, reptiles, and marine invertebrates. The most thrilling aspect of this is that it includes a shark tunnel.
  1. Freemont Street Experience
The Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall and attraction located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. In the heart of the world’s most exciting city, Fremont Street Experience is an incredible entertainment and gaming destination. Great ceiling light shows and street performers to watch.
